Pharmaceutical company breaks ground for new distribution center in Northeast Philly

    Pharmaceutical company Teva is set to make Northeast Philadelphia the home of a new state-of-the-art distribution center.

    CBS 3 reports Teva president and CEO William Marth was on hand, along with Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter for today’s groundbreaking ceremony.

    The facility will be constructed on the site of an old golf course, just off Red Lion Road.

    Teva says the project, worth $300 million, will generate nearly 3,000 jobs.

    CBS 3 reports the building is scheduled to be completed by the middle of 2013.
