PGW adjustments mean lower bills for customers

PGW customers can enjoy a break on the gas bills for at least the next few months. After making adjustments to its supply charge based on the price of gas, Philadelphia Gas Works has announced a price reduction for its customers.

The quarterly assessment led to a 4-cent reduction in the cost for gas per hundred cubic feet, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports, yielding monthly savings of about 2.2 percent for residential customers.

Commercial, industrial and municipal customers will see a break, too. The next assessment is Dec. 1.
