Pennsylvania moves closer to bath salts ban

On the heels of New Jerseys ban late last month, Pennsylvania legislators are considering a statewide ban of bath salts.

A bill banning the synthetic drugs will go before a Senate committee next week, and could be in effect within the next two months, as WHYY’s Scott Detrow reports.

A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi says the bill should make it to Gov. Tom Corbett’s desk around budget time in June.
