Penn student’s experience sparks blog about discrimination

    University of Pennsylvania student wrote an editorial Tuesday for the school’s student newspaper. He detailed an encounter he had with classmates that resulted in racial insults, which left him questioning his presence at Penn.

    When he said the experience left him wanting to tell minorities not to attend the university, commenters weighed in on several fronts. And someone started a blog.
    We Belong at Penn encourages university students to share their experiences of “racial microaggressions. The blog already has about a dozen posts from students talking about their overt and subtle racially-charged confrontations.
