Pedestrian hit, killed while walking on I-295 in Mount Laurel, N.J.

Authorities say a pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a tractor-trailer while walking on Interstate 295 in southern New Jersey.

Philly.com reports 37-year-old Tyron DuBose II was hit while walking on the highway in Mount Laurel around 3:30 a.m. Monday. State troopers say the truck driver saw the man and tried to stop, but the truck hit the man.

Authorities say the Cherry Hill man was hit a second time by another vehicle.

Both drivers stopped at the scene.
