PECO: Outage numbers down to 6,500

    Power is slowly coming back to the Philadelphia area, as PECO works to restore service to the last 6,500 customers. As of 11 a.m., 8,000 were without power. With 1,500 more now back in service, PECO says most customers can expect power to be restored by tonight.

    A handful of customers in isolated spots can expect to have power again by the weekend. Here are the latest outage numbers:

    Bucks County: 1,300
    Chester County: 1,500
    Delaware County: 2,600
    Montgomery County: 1,100
    Scattered outages remain in Philadelphia and York counties
