Patrick Murphy to get Nutter’s endorsement for state attorney general

With Philadelphia attorney Dan McCaffery out of the race, former Congressman Patrick Murphy is the only local candidate still vying to be Pennsylvania’s attorney general.

Murphy, who already has the support of Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz of Northeast Philadelphia and U.S. Rep. Bob Brady, will get Mayor Michael Nutter’s endorsement this afternoon.
Nutter will be at the Criminal Justice Center in Center City at 12:30 to formally pledge his support.

Murphy faces ex-Lackawanna County prosecutor Kathleen Kane and Cumberland County District Attorney David Freed.
