Historic Preservation and Sustainability Conference
Historic preservationists, architects, designers and developers from throughout greater Philadelphia are invited to convene on Tuesday, December 8 for The Past is Our Future: Historic Preservation and Sustainability,  a one-day conference hosted by the Preservation Alliance focusing on the important role of historic preservation in sustainable design. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and discuss the crucially important role of preservation in sustainable design and adaptive use of older and historic buildings. Representatives from t he National Trust for Historic Preservation, the National Park Service and the State Historic Preservation Office along with panels comprised of architects, preservationists and developers will describe some of the latest efforts to employ and integrate both of these important philosophies in order to create stronger projects.
