Owner of dog found emaciated in Delco is charged with animal cruelty

The owner of a dog found emaciated in Delaware County last month has turned himself in and is charged with two counts of animal cruelty.

The Delaware County Times reports the man is charged with abandonment and failing to provide care to Curious George, who weighed just 35 lbs. when he was found. The man now has 10 days to enter a plea.

The dog, now 61 lbs, will be available for adoption starting Saturday.
