Overnight shootings leave 3 dead, several injured in Philadelphia

    PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Another night of violence has left three men dead and several others hospitalized following shootings in areas of north and south Philadelphia.

    Police said gunshots were reported in north Philadelphia at about 6:48 p.m. Saturday and officers found a 28-year-old man sitting behind the wheel of a minivan with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. He was taken to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday.

    Officers in south Philadelphia found a 37-year-old man shot at 10:21 p.m. and a 22-year-old man shot shortly after 2 a.m., and both also later died at hospitals.

    Other shootings in north Philadelphia left a man critically injured and two others listed as stable.

    Police said no suspects have been arrested in any of the cases.
