Orchestra, ‘American Idol’ finalist will perform Sixers National Anthem

Considering the owners are new and a month of the season was lopped off during labor negotiations, the Sixers have an awful lot going on.

While voting continues for a new mascot, the team has hired the guy who created fake Twitter accounts for two of the mascot candidates and the players took to the Palesta Sunday for a free scrimmage game.

The announcement continue as CEO Adam Aaron said today the team has partnered with the Philadelphia Orchestra and “American Idol” finalist Ayla Brown for a Sixers-specific National Anthem to be performed at every home game. Brown will sing live while the orchestra plays in a performace recorded just for this purpose.
