One dead, 2 seriously injured in crash near Lincoln University

    One person is dead and two others were injured after a serious car accident near Lincoln University around midnight.

    CBSPhilly reports the driver of a 2004 Chevy Impala was traveling on Ashmun Avenue when it lost control and crashed into a tree. Upon impact, the car burst into flames.

    According to CBSPhilly, the driver, a 21-year-old, was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries.

    A passenger was also taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries. CBSPhilly says another pasenger from Forest Hills, New York was pronounced dead at the scene.
