Oh, Sandy. Cape May-Lewes Ferry to suspend operations

The Cape May-Lewes Ferry says it plans to shut down as a precaution for several days because of the approaching Hurricane Sandy.

The ferry says it’ll suspend operations following its last scheduled departures on Saturday evening. It will then be closed from Sunday through Tuesday.

The final Saturday departure from Cape May, N.J., is 6 p.m. and, from Lewes, Del., it’s 7:45 p.m.
