Occupy Philly paying for electricity but nothing else

    Occupy Philly is paying a utility bill to the city, but not for other services and costs incurred over the last weeks. Should that be the case?

    It’s Our Money today takes a look at how much the city is paying to keep the (unsolicited) police service outside City Hall, and whether the occupiers should pony up for the bill.

    Big surprise, Occupy Philly protester Steve Ross says no, despite have already received $7,000 in donations for the movement. What might be a surprise is this: a lawyer says the occupiers have a pretty solid case for not paying, since they never asked for the city’s police services.
