Observers discuss how to keep healthy while fasting for Ramadan

    Beginning yesterday, Ramadan’s observers will be fasting from dawn to dusk, not swallowing food or beverages during the long days of summer.

    Health & Science reporter Carolyn Beeler spoke yesterday with some observers who shared their strategies for staying healthy and hydrated while keeping their faith.

    Some envision the food they’ll eat later; others try not to think about it too much.
