Nutter: I wish more people knew about ‘majestic’ City Hall
When asked what he wishes more people knew about Philadelphia, Mayor Michael Nutter had a seemingly strange answer.
City Hall.
But not the scaffolding-hidden, Occupy-hosting City Hall most people have come to know it as.
No, Nutter wishes people knew the building’s history and all it still has to offer. He’s featured today in Uwishunu’s Philly 101 video series, in which 101 Philadelphians share what they want people to know about the city.
Calling the building “majestic,” Nutter reminds us we have the largest city hall in North America and it’s a piece of architecture many envy. And don’t forget the killer view from the observation deck.
Is it unoriginal for the mayor to talk up City Hall? Maybe, but someone‘s got to remind we live in the shadow of such an impressive structure.
