Not your average Beetlemania: Bug Fest takes center stage Sunday

It’s probably not the Beetlemania you’re thinking of as the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia is unveiling its insect collection this weekend, including beetles of all shapes and sizes.

It’s all part of Bug Fest, which began Saturday and runs through today, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Organizers of the event call beetles are some of the “showiest” bugs in the insect world when it comes to biological architecture.

On Friday, NewsWorks’ reporter Taunya English previewed the exhibit – click here to read her story and see pictures from Bug Fest.
