Northbound traffic building on GSP in Ocean County early Monday afternoon

    The shore exodus is on.

Pockets of heavy volume are forming in the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County early Monday afternoon.

“Traffic is already backing up northbound on the Garden State Parkway as far as I can see from Lacey all the way up and past Toms River,” said Jersey Shore Hurricane News contributor Amy L. O’Grady Paradise.

A five mile delay stretches from Exit 77 in Berkeley to the north of Exit 82A in Toms River, according to 511nj.org.
