North Philadelphia State House contest spills into Election Court

    Backers of Jonathan Ramos, a candidate running for Pennsylvania’s House are alleging tonight that campaign volunteers for their opponent Angel Cruz are causing problems at some polling locations in North Philadelphia.

    Backers of Jonathan Ramos, a candidate running for Pennsylvania’s House are alleging tonight that campaign volunteers for their opponent Angel Cruz are causing problems at some polling locations in North Philadelphia.

    They’ve taken their complaint to Election Court. They allege that the Cruz volunteers are assisting voters improperly, blocking entrances and using profanity.

    This race is unique, in that Angel Cruz is the only Hispanic in the Pennsylvania House, He is being challenged
    by Jonathan Ramos, also Hispanic.
