No Amex required for ‘Penn Christmas’ leftovers

    There’s a funny tradition that locals here in the Philadelphia area celebrate. Its called Penn Christmas and it happens every year. Unfortunately, you missed it. But the lesser-known PennMOVES Sale is actually happening today, and for just $5 you can rummage all you want without having to literally dumpster dive. It’s totally worth the five bucks, isn’t it?

    The fifth annual PennMOVES Sale is being held at Penn’s South Bank at 3401 Grays Ferry Avenue. Since 2008, PennMOVES has collected close to 390,000 pounds of items that students can’t take with them when they leave campus in the summer including clothes, furniture, kitchen gear, non perishable food items.
