N.J.’s 1st ATV park attracts few riders

New Jersey’s first state-owned off-road vehicle park is attracting few users almost two months since it opened.

Only 39 people have driven the dirt course at the park in Cape May County’s Woodbine.

The winter weather might be one reason.

Mike DeRosa, who owns nearby Proformance Cycles, tells The Press of Atlantic City prohibiting anyone under the age of 14 cuts out half the riders.

DeRosa also says requiring headlights and taillights also turns away riders.

The state this spring plans to hire a private company to operate the park.
