N.J. students challenge school’s valedictorian ranking system

    Students in Vineland, New Jersey have successfully challenged their school’s valedictorian ranking system. Now, two students will share the top spot.

    According to the Press of Atlantic City, Vineland High School’s second and third ranked students challenged the administration on the accuracy of its ranking system.

    The student’s concerns were over the weight classes taken off-campus, at a local community college were given in comparison to more advanced courses offered at the school.

    Ultimately, the first and second ranked students, Blake Pescatore and Ivonna Dumanyan will be sharing the honor.
