Newark Police track criminals using GPS on stolen phone

What some call an invasion of privacy others — at least, 15 people in Newark, Del. — might call a nifty crime-fighting tool.

Police there were able to use GPS to track a stolen cell phone and nab four criminals who robbed party-goers.
As WHYY’s John Mussoni reports, the four thieves were arrested when police tracked them down using the GPS device on one of the party-goer’s stolen cell phone. The men are accused of robbing and assaulting the 15 people at the party, none of whom sustained serious injuries.
