Newark, Delaware doctor indicted for multiple sex crimes

A doctor who was arrested by Newark Police in May for unlawful sexual contact with a patient during an examination now faces charges involving six alleged victims.

Pierre Leroy has been indicted on a total of 20 counts, according to the Delaware Attorney General’s Office.

Prosecutors investigated allegations against Leroy in conjunction with the state Division of Professional Regulations.  Leroy’s medical license was suspended May 8th by the Secretary of State and the President of the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline.

In the indictment, Leroy is charged with 11 counts of 3rd-degree unlawful sexual contact, three counts of attempted unlawful sexual contact, and six counts of sexual harassment.  He has been released on $40,000 unsecured bond.  Prosecutors say all of the alleged victims are adults.
