New York publications spotlight neighborhood beer scenes and visit-worthy meals

Though Philadelphia is readying for two New York-based food icons (Shake Shack and Crumbs Bake Shop) to make their 2-1-5 debut, we’ve got a couple things NYC doesn’t.

Chefs Michael Solomonov and Marcie Turney, and the entire Northern Liberties/Fishtown beer scene. Features in the New York Times’ T Magazine and the New York Post travel section name specific restaurants, dishes and bar that put Philly on the maps of Northeast Corridor foodies and beer geeks.

The T Mag feature is the first of two parts on the North Philly beer scene.
