New record

Tuesday’s murder of a teenager in Wilmington put the city’s homicide rate on par with its most violent of 2008. The murder a Wilmington woman last night means that record is broken.

The Delaware County Times reports the woman, in her 40s, was somehow involved in a double shooting with a teenage boy. Both were taken to Christiana Hospital where the woman later died.

Feed the Feed: Is there a particular city Wimington should take a cue from to help lower the murder rate?
