New Jersey representative competes in “Jeopardy!” contest

    It’s men vs. the machine. U.S. Rep. Rush Holt (NJ-12) is one of a handful of Congress members facing off tonight against Watson, the Jeopardy!-dominating computer.

     

    “Fortunately it’s just for fun and my humiliation will not be televised,” Holt wrote on Facebook. The Washington, D.C., event will highlight the importance of IT in the country’s global competitiveness. IBM officials will talk about how the technology used to create Watson can be used to improve the way government helps citizens.

    And, of course, Watson will test the congress members’ knowledge
