New 76ers mascot rests in your hands
The Philadelphia 76ers are giving fans a unique responsibility: the decision to decide who the team’s new mascot will be.
According to the 76ers organization, fans can long onto Sixersmascotfanvote.com and vote for one of three choices of mascots who will entertain fans.
Your choices include B. Franklin Dogg, Phil E. Moose or Big Ben.
The team says mascot voting ends on Friday, December 9 at 7 p.m.
The team says the mascot voting is part of pledge to listen to Philadelphia sports fans.
“A new era is beginning for the Philadelphia 76ers under new ownership and we welcome Philadelphia sports fans helping us to select the new Sixers mascot,” Chief Executive and co-Owner Adam Aron said in a statement.
The final three designs were created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.
