Nearly 2k without power in Toms River
A power outage is impacting a western portion of Toms River early this evening.
According to JCP&L, approximately 1,800 electric utility customers, or 4% of the municipal population, are without power as of 6 p.m.
The impacted area is west of the Garden State Parkway.
About 25 customers, or 2% of the population, are without power in South Toms River.
Traffic lights on Route 37 west of the Garden State Parkway are not functioning, according to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
JCP&L is currently investigating and expects restoration by 9:00 p.m.
