National Police Week at Montgomery Mall

Child fingerprinting, pet adoptions and costumed Star Wars characters can mean only one thing: National Police Week at Montgomery Mall.

The event, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature various services from Montgomery Township Police.

K-9 demonstrations, safe driving tips and bullying advice are among the highlights of the event

Police officers will answer questions about car seat safety, but the most interesting part of the day seems to be this:

“Costumed Star Wars characters from Garrison Carida, Darth Vader’s 501st legion, a charity-focused group led by volunteers who dress up like the famous characters, will be on-hand greeting children and families.”

If you head to the event, be sure to tell us what other famous characters you find.
