Police will descend on the Jackson Premium Outlets in Jackson Thursday morning to conduct an active shooter drill.

The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is coordinating the multi-agency drill, which will occur at various outlet stores, according to Al Della Fave, spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

The drill, which is slated to begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue for approximately 90 minutes, will consist of various police and security active shooter response training scenarios, Della Fave said. A Mobile Command Post and police response vehicles will be staged on the property, the spokesman added.

Participating agencies include the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, Jackson Police Department, and the New Jersey State Police in conjunction with the Jackson Premium Outlets Security Department.
