More charges for Philadelphia lawyer accused of Ponzi scheme

    Already charged with stealing $1 million from a New Jersey client, Philadelphia lawyer Michael Kwasnik is now charged with stealing more than $324,000 from the proceeds of a personal injury settlement that his law partner recovered for a married couple.

    Kwasnik, his father and others are accused of running an $8.5 million fraud scheme.

     

    According to the New Jersey Attorney General’s office, Kwasnik’s bail has been increased by by $250,000 and he will appear in court this afternoon for a bail source hearing.
