Montgomery County journalist dies in freak Turnpike accident

Journalists with the Journal Register Company and Montgomery Media are mourning one of their own.

Emily Morris, 31, died Monday from injuries sustained in a car accident over the weekend.
Morris, the web editor for Montgomery Media and editor of the Souderton Independent and News Herald, was on the Pennsylvania Turnpike en route to her parents’ house when a truck struck a road sign. A piece of the sign became airborne and crashed through Morris’ windshield, hitting her in the head.

Colleagues today are remembering a woman who put in more work than was required of her and enjoyed it all.
