Montgomery County announces recycling program for campaign signs

Those campaign signs you were so excited to put on your lawn have officially worn out their welcome (especially if your candidate of your choice lost).

In response, Montgomery County has launched a recycling program specifically for the signs. Though candidates are still ultimately responsible for removing their signs, anyone looking to unload ones they posted themselves can do so at one of 10 locations.

Montgomeryville-Lansdale Patch has the list of all drop-off locations. Signs that end up there will go either to ReCommunity Recycling in Philadelphia or Sullivan’s Scrap Metals in Lower Moreland as part of a partnership.

And then they’ll come back to your lawn in four years promoting a different (or perhaps the same) candidate.
