Men charged in theft scheme that spanned several Target stores

Two men have been charged with theft, conspiracy and other offenses for allegedly running a ring that printed fake UPC codes to rip off Target stores in 11 Pennsylvania counties.

Damian Gasdaska of Phillipsburg, N.J., and Eugene Romano of Center Valley, Pa., were caught after Gasdaska was seen dumping the proceeds into a bank account, NBC10 reports.

The two led others in printing mock UPC codes, which they placed on Target store items and then rang up at discounted prices. The items were then sold on eBay, netting more than $170,000 for the pair.
