Men arrested for regional burglary scam

Two Northeast men have been arrested for a burglary ring that spanned the Northeast and Bensalem.

Ryan Shantz, 30, of Torresdale; and Michael Mager, 31, of Tacony; were arrested and charged with 61 counts of theft from auto and other offense.

Items they stole from vehicles were found in a Tacony cash-for-gold store at Torresdale and Longshore avenues. Police found $100,000 worth of power tools, laptops, GPS devices and more that the pair stole from cars and then took to the store.

If you think your stolen item could be on the list, call Lt. Paul Haag or Sgt. Dan Buckley at the Major Crimes Auto Squad at (215) 685-9130.
