McQueary, Spanier, newspaper reporter among possible witnesses in Sandusky trial

All the names you’ve been reading since last fall in connection with Penn State and the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal are also on the list of potential witnesses for Sandusky’s trial.

The former PSU assistant football coach is accused of molesting several young boys connected to his Second Mile charity, and coach Joe Paterno and university President Graham Spanier were fired for their handling of the scandal.

The Patriot-News reports Patnerno’s wife and son could be called as witnesses, as could Spanier and former assistant football coach Mike McQueary. Also on the list? Sara Ganim, the 24-year-old Patriot-News reporter who broke the Sandusky story.
