Mayoral candidate Karen Brown thinks teachers union needs to go

With everyone weighing in on the Philadelphia School District these days, it’s no surprise to hear from Republican mayoral candidate Karen Brown.

Her fix for the schools? Getting rid of the teachers union.

“I can’t see how you can fix the schools without breaking the union. It prevents you from getting teachers back to teaching again,” she told Metro.

“I’m not against the teachers. I’m against the teachers union. Our kids are suffering.”
