The Music School of Delaware 85th Anniversary Celebration & Showcase

Join us for the second annual Showcase and 85th anniversary celebration, featuring The Music School of Delaware’s exceptional choral, orchestral and chamber music ensembles, with over 250 musicians ages 6 to 90, at the state’s premier concert venue. The Grand, June 3rd 6 p.m.

Dear America: Letters Home From Vietnam

In conjunction with the current exhibit at the Lydia B. Cannon Museum, Vietnam Mailbag, and in honor of Memorial Day, the Milton Historical Society and Rehoboth Beach Film Society present this documentary film featuring real-life letters written by American soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines during the Vietnam War to their families and friends back home. Milton Theatre, May 30th 7 p.m.

The Man in Black Show: A Tribute to Johnny Cash

The Man in Black Show recreates the look of the American icon Johnny Cash, through the incredible talents of Shawn Barker and a talented group of musicians and singers. It is based on what Johnny might have talked about and the stories told through his songs. The show delivers the raw prowess that made Johnny Cash a 20th century pop culture figure while capturing his ability to cross musical genres, age and ethnic barriers to bring a classic sound that is immediately recognized today. Schwartz Center for the Arts, June 4th and 5th 7 p.m.
