Marimow leaves Inquirer to lead Arizona State journalism program

Months after trading his editor position at the Philadelphia Inquirer for a reporting role, Bill Marimow is leaving the paper.

The former executive editor will be the leader of the Carnegie-Knight News21 in-depth digital journalism program at Arizona State University, Poynter reports.

Stan Wischnowski took over as executive editor in October for what the owners said was Marimow’s lack of knowledge around digital media. Marimow resumed an investigative reporting role.

According to a release from ASU, Marimow and his wife will move to Arizona in September.
