Delaware Sampler Symposium: ‘Wrought with Careful Hand’, March 22nd
As part of a three-day weekend symposium focused on Delaware Samplers and newly emerging scholarship, the Biggs Museum will host a full day of lectures and multimedia presentations on Delaware’s needlework schools and teachers. Dover Symphony Orchestra Spring Classical Concert, March 23rd
The Dover Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Donald Buxton will launch the second half of its 2013-2014 season on Sunday, March 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm at the Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover. The orchestra will perform Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C Minor. Our featured soloist, Phillip Sawyer, will perform Vivaldi’s Concerto in D for Strings and Lute on classical guitar. Rollins Center at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino.
