Manchester man killed after car strikes tree along Parkway

    A 76-year-old Manchester man was killed when his car left the Garden State Parkway in Toms River and struck a tree Friday night, according to the New Jersey State Police. 

    Howard Huhn was pronounced dead at Community Medical Center in Toms River soon after the 9:51 p.m. crash, police said. 

    Huhn was traveling in the southbound lanes when his car left the roadway at milepost 85.4 and struck a tree in the woods near Old Freehold Road, according to police. 

    He was wearing a seat belt, police said.
