Alleged robber posing as fire inspector sought by police

Atlantic City Police are looking for a man officers accuse of dressing up as a fire inspector and then demanding money from city businesses.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, the man is accused of going to two restaurants over the course of January into February and asking for hundreds of dollars after he falsely inspected the buildings.

Police tell the Press of Atlantic City the suspect was caught on surveillance cameras walking around with restaurant employees, who were apparently pointing out supposed violations.

Police describe the suspect as a middle aged white man with dark hair and a heavy build.
