Machete attack suspect in custody

    After two days on the run, accused machete attacker, Eugenio Diaz Morales, 42, was shot multiple times by Buena Borough police officers on Friday night.

    Morales, a Vineland resident, was wanted for attacking his 41-year-old girlfriend with a machete earlier this week.

     

    According to NBC10, the victim was struck in the back of the neck, face, hands and body.

    Her condition was upgraded to critical but stable condition, yesterday, reports NJ.com,

    The Daily Journal is reporting that this isn’t Morales’ first run-in with the law and that he was also shot by law enforcement during a confrontation in 2002.
