Lower Merion School District building facing more than $150,000 in asbestos removal

Another survey of the Lower Merion School District Administration building revealed more asbestos than the board of school directors initially thought. And now the cost of removal is going up.
As the Main Line Times reports, the original $66,600 contracto to remove the harmful material will cost an additional $97,400. Workers discovered more asbestos in the crawl space that grants them access to the pipes and air conditioning systems.
