Electricity has been restored to Delaware’s Christiana Mall after early morning blackouts left area shoppers wandering the causeways of this popular Black Friday destination.

DelawareOnline reports that the outage lasted about an hour, and there was an increased police presence during the outage, said State police spokesman Sgt. Paul Shavack.

Several storefronts pulled down their security gates during the outage – jewelers in particular.

Shoppers were allowed to remain in the slightly darkened mall while crews fixed the electricity issues.
