Light freezing rain possible in northern Shore early Monday

Forecasters expect light freezing rain to develop overnight in northern Shore areas, potentially lingering into the morning commute.

After a mild day, the National Weather Service expects temperatures to drop quickly tonight. As precipitation moves in, locally slippery travel is possible early tomorrow morning,.

“A light glaze of ice will develop on untreated surfaces, including secondary roads, bridges, overpasses and sidewalks,” a National Weather Service advisory states.

Temperatures will rise above freezing tomorrow morning, reaching around 50 degrees by the afternoon.
