Lawyers want murder charges against Maryland doc dismissed on grounds abortion deaths occured in N.J.

Lawyers for an abortion doctor want the Maryland murder charges against him dismissed on the grounds that the deaths he’s charged with occurred in New Jersey.

Dr. Steven Brigham lost his medical license for beginning late-term abortions in New Jersey and then having his patients drive to Maryland to finish the procedures.

His attorneys argue the drugs that killed the fetuses were administered in the Garden State, and therefore prosecutors do not have jurisdiction to charge Brigham with homicide in Maryland.
