Jury finds former Philadelphia Police officer guilty of murder

    A jury has found former Philadelphia Police Officer Frank Tepper guilty of murdering his Port Richmond neighbor in 2009.Tepper was arrested for shooting 21-year-old William Panas, but arguments during the trial painted different pictures of what led to the shooting.
    Tepper maintains he acted in self defense against a mob of six people. The prosecution argued Tepper was not seriously injured and Panas was not in the crowd that attacked the officer.The jury found him guilty of first-degree murder and other charges.
