Jail time for former N.J. labor department analyst

Former New Jersey labor department analyst Sharon Caldwell has been sentenced to one year in prison after admitting to stealing from the department.

Caldwell pleaded guilty last year to issuing checks from the Disability Insurance program to herself to help pay her bills. The theft totaled $18,525 in state funds.

The Times of Trenton reports Caldwell has also been sentenced to four years of probation and is prohibited from future public employment.
